Strathspey Railway

Wonderful place. Great volunteer staff. Clean tidy. Very friendly place to visit.

One of the 3 stations on the line to visit. Boat Of Garten is the middle station on the line were they have keep wagons, coaches, shunters, DMU's , etc... There is a museum and model railway at this station but this is only open on Sundays. The train stops here for 10 minutes for people to have a quick look around like watching the loco fill up with water. Good station to visit when the railway is open!

Afternoon tea on a steam train through the Cairngorms National Park - absolutely brilliant! Staff were friendly and attentive and the scenery was spectacular!

Nice ride on the steam train. We had a first class carriage, so you get hot drinks and shortbread biscuits included in the price. Stopped in other stations on our ride. Helpful staff which I believe are all volunteers. All doing a fab job. Would ride this again if ever in the area.

What a lovely well kept piece of railway history. Free to wander about the platforms and the staff were very friendly and informative. Unfortunately I didn't have enough time to make the railway journey but the station and surrounding area was lovely visit and to see what railway travel would have been like in days gone by.

Took the steam train journey with my son from aviemore to broomhill and back....very enjoyable
